With growing climate change
emissions, rising levels of traffic congestion and air pollution, the
threat of nuclear power making a comeback, increased risk of floods
– life sometimes seems to be getting harder and more
out-of-control. You may despair at being unable to influence government
decisions and make a real difference in the way things are run.
But you can make a difference! Why not start by helping to
influence things in your own city? By joining your local Friends of the
Earth group you can play a key role in transforming the local
environment, and you can also campaign on important global issues such
as climate change.
Who we are
Friends of the Earth (FoE) has a network of local groups across Scotland. FoE Glasgow campaigns on local and national environmental issues that affect the Glasgow area. Our group is made up of volunteers of all ages and from a range of backgrounds.
